to the rest of the world, no act of violence shakes the resolve of the united states of america. >> reporter: of the four americans killed in the attack in benghazi, three have been identified. family members say glenn doughtery, a former navy seal was working for a private security company was killed trying to protect the ambassador and other u.s. personnel. he was 42 years old. experts on libya think the attack came at the hands of an anti-american group intent on driving westerners out of the country. >> it looks like this was a pre- planned attack that was opportunistic from a jihad outfit that is anti-american and they took advantage of a demonstration outside of the consulate that was protesting the movie that slandered the prophet mohammed. >> reporter: officials in cairo said the demonstrations there have injured more than 200 people. and authorities in yemen said today four protestors were killed and 11 others injured, 24 security forces were also injured in the clashes at the embassy. shawn. >> paul wagner with the update. thank you. >> we're learning more about the u.s. ambassador
